During the month of September, our schedules are getting full, children are busy getting back to school, after school programs, and adults are full force at work. This leaves little time to think about the fact that storms and bad weather are increasing in frequency, as well. Many of us have a plan in place for emergency preparedness for our families. But how many of those plans include preparations for our furry, feathered or scaly family members? They should be part of our plans for staying and “weathering” the storm, as well as if we decide we need to leave. Throughout the month, we will be posting on Facebook different aspects of disaster preparedness for your pets: supplies you should include, identification/documents needed, first aid kit items for your pet, and comfort/wellbeing supplies to consider. Follow us on Facebook to get all this information as it is posted.
